A few thoughts.

Love the Beatles. Am constantly amazed that the music of our youth is still some of the most popular music out there. In the 60's you didn't see us listening to music from 1910!

Hate, hate, hate subscription models for books, music, movies. I want to own my shit. Not rent it.

There was a great vinyl place in the Haight years ago. You might be able to find it in a shop like that. If not, torrents are the way to go.

Not saying I do that, but 🤐. My movie collection is in the thousands, my library has over 50K books, and I have a lot of music. I started with Napster.

If you have a hard time finding it let me know. I know how to find "things" on the web.

Lastly, I am with you about music being a distraction these days. I think it's because it is so powerful in terms of triggering nostalgia and memories. You can fall down the rathole of YouTube music vids and spend hours dreaming away.

My entire life can be described in one sentence: Things didn’t go as planned, and I’m OK with that.
