A few additional thoughts. Apologies if I am "mansplaining" and repeating the obvious.

To Live in Heat, You have to Bend to its Will.

Heat is like gravity, it warps your reality and you cannot escape it. If you fight it, you will suffer. Possibly even die.

The ancient rhythms and patterns of heat adapted cultures work. They work, because they don't try to fight the heat of the day. You live at night, in the evenings when it's cooler and the sun has gine down.

In Mexico, in the Summer the plazas are thronged at midnight. Families, clowns, performing artists, food stall vendors. The ice cream shops are full and people are.sitting on patios at 1 in the morning.

Then you go home, sleep for.4-5 hours and go to work.

You live like lions in Africa do. You sleep during the heat of the day, get up at dusk, stay up till 2, work in the cool of the morning, repeat.

Fuck the Anglo Saxon, 9-5 workday. It doesn't work in Heat.

Remember, "Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the noon day sun."

My entire life can be described in one sentence: Things didn’t go as planned, and I’m OK with that.
