A BIGGER question perhaps is WHY we let people "go to market" with products whose effects can be so far reaching. Without ANY oversight.

Look at plastics, or the whole chemical industry. Something like 20,000 compounds in common use and only about 400 have EVER been tested for "long term" effects.

At the current rate of funding the EPA tests about 5 compounds per YEAR.

Anytime, anyone invents "something new" they think they have a "right" to foist it on the rest of us. So that they can make a pile of money, consequences be dammed.

That's a CULTURE issue.

It HAS to STOP.

When you live on a spaceship you DO NOT Fuck with the Life Support System unless you are CERTAIN you know what you are doing.
